Melanie Craig graduated Magna Cum Lauda, with distinction, from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa with a Magister Technologiae degree in Chiropractic (MTech: Chiropractic). As a final year student she was awarded the Academic Excellence award for obtaining the highest marks over her 6 years of study, the Ross Potgieter Practical Award for practical excellence during her Masters Year and she received the Mario Milano CASA Excellence Award for her contributions to the student body and the profession.


After graduation she practised in multidisciplinary practice in Johannesburg until March 2017. As a practitioner, she had a family practice with a focus on prevention and rehabilitation of injures. She is trained in the diversified chiropractic technique. Her practice goal is to empower patients by providing them with the individual tools needed to control their own health. Melanie’s primary interest was with sports performance, injury prevention and rehabilitation.


Melanie worked as a sports chiropractor on numerous local and international sporting events around South Africa, including the ‘Cape Epic’ in 2015 and the inaugural the ‘Arnold Classic Africa’ weightlifting championships in 2016.


Melanie treats both humans and animals and is a registered animal chiropractor with a postgraduate diploma form the International Academy for Veterinary Chiropractic. She is currently in the process of completing her own International Certification in Sports Chiropractic which is due to be completed in December 2021.


Melanie immigrated to England in 2017.  Along side her private practice she took up a lecturing position at the AECC University College in Bournemouth. There she was involved with numerous units in the Clinical Management, Technique and Diagnosis units and held the position of Course lead of the MChiro (Hons) course until 2021. 


In 2021, Melanie decided to return to full time practice to focus on her patients and family.
